Joel P. Nichols Everett, Washington
Joel P. Nichols is a partner in the firm. Mr. Nichols enjoys representing individuals in criminal defense, personal injury, employment, construction defect, real estate and small business matters. Joel grew up in Shoreline, Washington and, in 1988, earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in English at the University of Washington. In 1992, Joel earned his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Puget Sound School of Law, and he has been a member in good standing with the Washington State Bar since 1993. In 1994, he was admitted to practice law in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Washington. Mr. Nichols is a member of the Washington Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (WACDL), the National College for DUI Defense (NCDD), Washington State Trial Lawyer's Association (WSTLA), Washington Employment Lawyer's Association (WELA), and the Snohomish County Bar Association (SCBA). In 2006, Mr. Nichols successfully completed training for the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) DWI Detection and Standardized Field Sobriety Testing Student Course in Las Vegas, Nevada. From 1999-2002, he served as the Director of the Unemployment Law Project in Seattle and served on the Unemployment Insurance Advisory Committee of the Washington State Employment Security Department. From 2005-2006, he served as the Employment Section Chair of the Washington State Trial Lawyers Association. In addition to fighting for the underdog, Mr. Nichols enjoys golf, music, drama, fishing and coaching his daughter's baseball and softball teams.
